The paisley motif is one of the cultural variations of the sacred circle geometry like the "yin and yang" symbols. Red and green are complementary colors also conveying a sense of balance between opposites.

The Mughal style inspiration of the piece is the Taj Mahal diamond, which was gifted to Liz Taylor by Richard burton, and was originally a gift from Mughal ruler Shah Jahan to his beloved queen, Mumtaj Mahal whose shrine is the Taj Mahal monument.

The Taj Mahal necklace is an exquisite piece of jewelry that is linked to two of history's most famous love stories.

Articulated bracelet inspired by Hong Kong cinema and neon lights, in the shape of an octogonal Feng shui mirror.

My theme was "Hong Kong at night", an hommage to the movies of Wong Kar Wai and Hong Kong 90's movies, where modernity cohabits with popular traditions, such as Feng shui and the reliance on fortune tellers and Feng shui masters.

The black metal represents the night background of the neon lights.

The octogonal shape is due to the fact that the number 8, especially in southern Chinese culture, is the luckiest number.

The round ruby cabochon was chosen as Roundness is a symbol of harmony, and red is the luckiest color in the Chinese culture. Its set where a circular mirror would stand in the center of the actual Feng shui mirror.

I picked a variety of colored stones in the traditional five primary Chinese colors: red, black, green, white, and yellow that would pop against the black background.
